"sister scriptorians"

1 Timothy 1:11-12
(New Testament)

“But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with good works.”

Because we have women leaders and teachers in our Church, does that mean that we don’t believe in the Bible?

“We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly;
we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that
He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.” (Articles of Faith 8-9)

How great is it to know that we have a modern Prophet revealing to us the Word of God?

Today women are called by God to serve and lead in the Church with callings such as Relief Society Presidents, Young Women Presidents and Primary Presidents, to share their natural love for others by serving others and being an example for women all over the world.

We are daughters of a loving Heavenly Father, with talents and gift who make us capable to serve others. All our gifts and talents are different from one to another but in the end all together in unity can make a big difference.

I have a testimony that the Bible is the word of God and like the Bible telling us in Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
I testify of a modern day living prophet who receives the word of God telling us the will of God.
I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the guiding and leading church of Jesus Christ Himself. He is the head of His Church and directs it.

Here is my favorite video talking about Later-Day Saint women from across the globe sharing how their God given strength allows them to impact the world.

"Jesus Born in Jerusalem?!"

Alma 7:10

(Book of Mormon)

"And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God."

Does that mean that the Book of Mormon is false? Of Course not!
As we think about the history of the Book of Mormon in this chapter, Alma taught the people of the American continent announcing that The Savior of the world was going to be born in 60 years.

Considering that at that time the biggest city of the world was Jerusalem, which meant it didn't matter where you were from or if you knew about Jerusalem but about a little town next to it called Bethlehem.

So you knew about Bethlehem if you were from Israel, like where the Bible is written, but the people on the other side of the world might not have.

It is like for me when here in England people ask me where I'm from and I say I'm from France, where about... euh... Lille. =) ...When in reality I'm from a little village next to it... =/

The most important thing is to remember that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, The Savior of the world, would be born to a virgin named Mary and that they lived in Judea.
